Optimus Maximus

The Optimus Maximus is a keyboard with small OLED displays for all its keys. Each display can be changed independently, so that it's easy to use different layouts on one keyboard. You can for example use more than one language layout or different symbols for each program you are using. Each display has the size of 10.1x10.1mm, a resolution of 48x48pixel and 65546 colors. In order to increase the lifespan to a maximum, the displays itself don't move - if you press a key, only the keycap is moved. The displays can play animations at at least 10fps, but this will be faster if you don't animate all keys at one time. The layouts can be configured with the included software for Windows and Mac OS (a linux version isn't available yet) and they will be saved on the included 32MB SD card, which can of course be changed to a card with more storage space in order to enable more sophisticated layouts. To make the Optimus Maximus complete, it has two built-in USB 2.0 ports and a possibility to connect a K-lock. The keyboard needs a separate power supply of 100-250V (US or European net) and it comes with different power plugs so that you can connect it to any net in Europe or the US. The keyboards dimensions are 53.7x17.3x3.8cm and the dimensions of a key are 20.2x20.2mm.
